What is a canvas print, and how is constructed? Is it a Giclée?
Canvas prints (also known as "Giclée's") are digital print reproductions on a canvas/fiber material, usually a cotton or cotton/polyester blend. The material is tightly stretched around wooden "stretcher bars", stapled securely to the back of the wood, and affixed with a sturdy hanging hardware. AlignBetween canvas prints come "ready to hang", meaning no framing or additional treatment is necessary!
The depth of the stretcher bars is 1 1/2" deep, and the image always wraps fully around the sides, giving your piece an art gallery-quality presentation and feel. The surface of the canvas is textured and a little absorbant, so the archival-quality inks can saturate the material allowing for deep and vibrant color. It is designed to last upwards of 100 years!
The canvas is coated with a finish that protects your piece from fading, but remember that it is still delicate and should be treated with care.
Currently each piece is offered in Small, Medium and Large, with dimensions in inches. The orientation of the art (i.e. portrait or landscape-style) will determine which is actually the longer side:

Some pieces have slightly different dimensions, due to the the nature of the design, but the S, M and L selection will still apply.

Absolutely! Although we offer specific sizes for all canvas prints (Small, Medium and Large), we can create just about any size. For example, maybe you already have a frame and you're looking for just the right art to fill it...or maybe you have a wonderful idea for a tryptic, or a giant wall space to decorate. We'd be delighted to work with you and provide you a custom quote - just get in touch and let us know what you're thinking!
Depending on the size you request, please expect additional shipping charges in addition to the custom order fee. Just contact AlignBetween for your special needs.
How long does it take to receive my order?
The entire order fulfillment process can take up to 10 business days for domestic deliveries. Since all products are made-to-order, expect 2-3 business days for order processing before your item is shipped. All items are shipped standard (usually UPS Ground) - to keep shipping costs low. Once your item is shipped, you will receive the tracking number which will detail the expected delivery date.
If you need to rush an order or confirm a delivery date, additional shipping costs may apply and will be quoted for your express package. Just contact AlignBetween with your inquiry or request.
Can I order just the canvas, without the stretched gallery wrap?
Currently all artwork pieces are sold "ready to hang" (stretched and gallery wrapped). In some cases, as in volume orders or special projects/installs, other arrangements can be made. Please contact AlignBetween if this fits your situation.
Although we do not offer framing services, your AlignBetween print can be taken to any local framer of your choice. It is ready for framing as well as hanging!
How can I be sure the color(s) will be what I expect?
This is a great question. Different monitors can produce different color tones. What we see on our monitor here at the studio may be slightly different that what you see on your monitor, even if we are looking at the same image. At the AlignBetween studio, monitors are professionally calibrated so that we observe the artwork in its intended color. We also work with the company that produces the canvas to ensure our color profiles are accurately matched. Depending on the settings of your monitor or laptop, the colors may not be exact, because your contrast settings, color profile, brightness, and even angle of your screen (especially with laptops) can affect the color you see.
If you are in doubt, please view your preferred item(s) on the AlignBetween website on several different monitors, both Mac and PC. If you notice significant variation, please ensure your own monitor's display has been properly calibrated.
If you have an exact color you are trying to match, we will be happy to offer custom order services. We can work from your color swatches, specified pantone colors, samples, etc. to create a piece that will match your interior. Just contact AlignBetween for a quote.
Do you offer prints on photo paper or other mediums besides canvas?
Currently AlignBetween art is only offered on canvas. From time to time, we may use photo paper or other mediums for special promotions and give-aways, however our premium niche is canvas giclee. The quality, texture, and unique-ness ensure that when you purchase an AlignBetween canvas print, you know you are getting something special.
